How long have you had your horse?: 5 months
What is the best thing about your horse?: My horse
is beautiful and has a fantastic gentle nature. She
used to be mistreated when she was younger, and due
to this she is head shy, but luckily she's tried to
put the past behind her and get on with her life!
Solly is a nervous, but wonderful jumper, and is very
responsive to physical aids when riding.
What is the worst thing about your horse?: There
isn't many bad things about Soll, apart from the fact
that if you try to get her in from the field during
the day, she often runs away. This is mainly to do
with the fact that she was badly treated at her own
home, so its important I dont lose my patience with
her.
Do you and your horse compete? I havent competed
with my horse yet, but I'm hacking her to a show this
July, because she's terrified of horse boxes and trailers.
Overall thoughts about your horse: Solly is a brilliant
and wonderful pony, who I wouldn't swap for anything.
She's a very brave mare to face what she's been through,
but she's held her head high and put it behind her.
