How
long have you had your horse?: 2 years
What
is the best thing about your horse?: We are best
friends, he always
whinnies and comes cantering when he sees me. We go
miles hacking through
Sherwood Forest and he always looks after me. When
I first had him he
couldn't get round Novice at a local show and now
he has qualified for most
BSJA finals this year jumping 1.20m opens and Foxhunters
What
is the worst thing about your horse?: He is too
small! He is up for
sale because at the end of this year I am out of juniors
so I will have to
move up onto horses and it would be unfair asking
him to compete against the
bigger horses although he would probably win! I'd
love to keep him forever
but he loves his jumping and he could continue it
and take a young rider
round if we found the right home for him and he would
love that.
Do
you and your horse compete? Yes, every week and
we both love it!!! We do a lot of BSJA and he has
managed to qualify for moat of the finals this year
including Pony of the year show, Scope, Bluechip,
Trailblazers etc. Last
year he came third at the Trailblazers finals in the
showjumping. He also
does really well in county level working hunter and
showing cos he is a
pretty boy! His favourite though is cross-country
and he'll jump absolutely
anything!!! He has completed many open horse XC at
3'6"+ He has competed for
all the pony club teams and always wins or gets double
clears. He has even
won many dressage competitions even though I hate
it!
Overall
thoughts about your horse: He is one in a million
and I hope he goes on to teach many other young riders
who want to get to to the top in any discipline. He
has even won me a saddle in a young riders competition
which was great!
