How
long have you had your horse?: Since April 2004
What
is the best thing about your horse?: He's absolutely
gorgeous (but we all say that!), he has beautiful
long striding paces, a careful but bold jump (he adores
jumping) and a very friendly nature. He led two older
horses down the road the first time I took him out
in traffic and was brilliantly behaved. He also travels
well. Best of all he knows who his mum is!
What
is the worst thing about your horse?: Its not
a bad thing but he is still quite green in some aspects
and doesnt hack very well on his own. He is difficult
to handle sometimes especially when he's waiting to
get out into the field first thing in the morning,
he spends most of his time on his back legs!
Do
you and your horse compete? We did our first clear
round jumping 2"6' a couple of months ago, The
jumping aspect didn't go too well, we only had one
fence down but he cat-leaped most of them. Although
he behaved fantasticlly! We are doing an unaffiliated
dressage test in late October. I am planning to enter
Intro Eventing by time he is about 7 but we'll see
how things go! I'm happy to go at his speed and I
don't think its right to push him until he's more
developed and mentally mature!
Overall
thoughts about your horse: I love him to bits
and although we've had our fair share of problems
I wouldn't change him for the world now
