All we really want our horses to do is move forward in a relaxed and confident manner. Many horses do and will. However, have you ever thought how much happier they would work WITHOUT a bit in their mouth. Until now, the only alternative has been a Hackamore which can be very severe.

The NO BIT BRIDLE from HTS Equestrian, is NOT hackamore based. It is based on a 'cross under' strap that, when a given rein aid is applied, puts gentle pressure on the nose, the poll and the side of the face if turns are required. This leaves the entire mouth free of a bit, but still giving you full control.

The NO BIT BRIDLE CAN greatly help and improve:-
YOUNG STOCK. Most horses that show signs of problems in bitting, have nearly all had bad experiences when first backed as a youngster. They are generally backed whilst stilll teething. Bitting them in this condition can put them off for years. Now you can lightly back them, school them and ride them out with no fear of putting them off going forward. You will set them up for life.

REARERS / NERVOUS / STRESSY.
Typical symptoms of horses that atre being re schooled or re educated due to previous bad experiences. Those that won't go forward, or are tense and stressy, suddenly become very relaxed. They love the freedom - you still have control. It will be so much nicer for them.

PULLERS / STRONG HORSES. It takes two to pull, and strong bits make strong horses. Take the bit away and the rider cannot pull. In turn, the horse cannot pull back. Takes some re schooling and re educating - but it is worth it.

SCHOOLING / HACKING. Now you can really ride off seat and leg. What a relaxing experience it will be for your horse - and you.

ENDURANCE RIDING. Miles of work with very fit horse -but, unlike other disciplines where contact is needed nearly constantly, endurance riding is the oposite. At the start and at certain times, control is needed - with the no bit bridle you'll have it. The rest of the ride can be completed in a very relaxed manner, with NO chance of a sore mouthed horse.

CHILDREN / YOUNG RIDERS / BEGINNERS. Many calls we receive are for gentle bits for young children / beginners to learn - without allowing them to 'catch the horse' - or when they do - the horse won't feel it so much.

Now, with the NO BIT BRIDLE your horses can be relaxed and happy - no matter who rides them - and the riders will learn that all important independant seat. DOUBLES AS A CONTROLLER HALTER. The two control rings for the reins join together to be attached to a lead rope. The NO BIT BRIDLE is made from strong polyester webbing, with a soft padding to the nose, poll and headstall. They are available in black only in PONY, COB & FULL and fully adjustable within each size.
