Can
Magnotherapy Boots help?
Hi I
was wondering if you would be interested in a story about
my friends pony that has COPD, for the past 4 years he has
had to be fed on expensive horsehage because of his condition.
Last year i discovered the wonders of magnatherapy and we
decide to give it a try to see if it would help. We put
in on him before it was time to feed hay so when we put
him on hay we wasn't sure if it was the magnets or just
the fact the we had been getting really good quality hay.
We
really never thought much more about it until in march this
year when he started to cough really badly and he was off
his food and had awful diarrhoea. So we thought that's it
the magnets are rubbish they don't work, except for the
fact that we hadn't noticed he had lost it. He is a heavy
cob with big feather so it was usually well hidden. So it
must have been the follow day before we noticed it was missing.
So we hunted up and down the field looking for it with no
luck. A few went by and he was still getting worse. So we
ended up taking off my dogs collar and putting it on him.
The
next day was a massive difference, he still wasn't right
but a week later her was fine. His little companion suffers
from laminitis and one day Feb we had the out the feels
to groom them because of the foot and mouth they has a real
shortage of grass. So we never thought it would do any harm
to bring them out just next to the paddock and let graze
a little.
That
night we where walking the dogs and taking their feeds over
and usually the little one is there first, she does get
feed because of her laminitis just the big one because her
is getting on a bit, but she is ever hopeful of getting
a mouthful. By now it was getting quite dark or when went
looking for her and we found her she was lying down we got
her up and we take her a walk we thought it was possible
she has a touch of colic due to the grass. We walked her
for about half an hour and she seemed fine so we put her
back.
We decided
to be safe we would check her again in about an hour, thankfully
we did she was worse, she we both take turns at walking
her to begin with she seemed to get better but all of a
sudden she got really bad and would try to lie down every
couple of steps. So we decided we had nothing to lose we
took of the big horse magnet, my dogs magnet, Lindsey magnet
(The ponies belong to her) and my magnet and she had one
on each leg and we took her up to the garden it is only
about a 5 min walk from the paddock.
Lindsey
phoned the vet it must have been midnight my know. We live
out in the country in the middle of nowhere so we know we
would have a while to wait on the vet. So he told to let
her lie down as long as she wasn't trying to roll she shouldn't
to any more damage. So we let her to sleep we stayed with
her to keep an eye on her. About half an hour later she
let off an tremendous fart and got up herself and started
eating. So I don't know if it was the rest or the magnets.
When the vet arrive she looked fine but her could still
her stomach was unsettled. Her gave her a injection which
took the 3 of us to hold her (and she is only a miniature
Shetland!) She tried to rear, but thankfully there is nothing
to her.
As her
was leaving he smiled and asked if it was magnets she had
on her legs. This is just 2 reason why i am know a Independent
Distributor. My own dog had made a remarkable recovery from
a broken leg. the vet said she would never work again, but
know i am pleased to say she is off her painkiller and competing
in agility. Irene Ford 01236 823768
